FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Pastoral Counselors are able to listen beyond the physical and psychological concerns of the client. As tripartite beings (body, soul, spirit), a panoramic exploration into the spirituality of a client is necessary to identify the root source of client issues. Eliminating the spirituality of a person is equal to eliminating a primary color from the rainbow. One does not obtain a full illustration of a person without it.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
I work strictly on a Sliding Fee Scale:
Gross Monthly Income + Number of Family Members in Household= Fee.
*Fee range :$45 - $130

Clients are asked to complete a Temperament questionnaire. The cost of the questionnaire is $30 per report.
Initially, I will recommend weekly sessions to establish rapport with the client. As a client progresses, I will recommend pushing appointments into bi-weekly, tri-weekly or monthly in accordance with the client's developmental progression. How long you are in counseling is totally dependant on "you".
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
An appointment for you is a time exclusively scheduled and dedicated to you. With an 8-hour notice, I am able to offer the time slot to another person. Cancellations with 8 hours or more, or rescheduled appointments are not charged a cancellation fee. A "no-show" is charged the full session fee.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
No, I do not take insurance.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
1) Clients will fill out intake documents to establish a personal file in a HIPAA secure system. If requesting Marriage counseling both husband and wife will complete their own individual documents.
2) Clients will receive a link via email to complete the APS questionnaire. The assessment provides a detailed snapshot of a person's strengths and weaknesses The report provided establishes the strengths and weaknesses within the individual's temperament providing assistance in personal growth issues and improvement of relationship dynamics.
3) During the first session (also known as the "intake" session) I review client information and clients discuss their presenting problems. A counseling schedule is established. *Be advised some intake sessions may require an additional session.
A clinical hour is 50 minutes however, sessions are scheduled in 60 minute increments.
DO YOU PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH EVALUATIONS/ASSESSMENTS?
No, I do not provide mental health assessments, psychiatric evaluations, child custody evaluations or provide mental health assessments with a parenting component.
